iPad: pros and cons

I understand that the question is somewhat out of the realm of outrage, but still ask.

I am dying for an iPad, but never had a passion for Apple.

Primarily because of the software. My daughter love to play together in different kazulno gamesy, plus Mama wants reader. To be honest, the selection of games, including for a child of four years is impressive ( he is sitting on the Android wife on Symbian). Never had IPhone-similar solutions, MacBook, and more.

How meaningful NOW buy IPad for games, reading ( well, maybe, movies I sometimes it would be looked at). Or should we choose the prefix + reader for mom? For the money is the same Wii + reader?

In a word, confused. Which is better, a 3G model with or without 3G support, if we look at the ipad as a gaming console? 16 or 32 GB? Anyway, do I need it?

Sorry messy.

you know I'll tell you, as someone who not so long ago began to use Apple devices (after Android/Linux/...). prior to that, I'm pretty indifferent to this technique. I am sure that iPad will not 100% meet your needs, however, you not only will not regret about the spent money, but don't want to part with this device.

can't say the same about any other device, whether a tablet or portable game console like PSP.

so if this purchase does not too afford, then do not spare money — you will find peace and balance :)

as to whether it was appropriate to buy an iPad now — I can assure you that the iPad will be supported and receive updates for much longer than any Android tablet this year and will still be a cool thing and a year and a half. view to compare the life cycle of a cheap iPod touch 2nd gen (which is now up to iOS 4.2 recently updated) and for example the top at the time of androidiani HTC Hero (which will never be Android 2.2, while 2.3 is already in the yard). so there is not even a cost thing.

can't say that 3g is very necessary — it depends on how you plan to use it. as for memory on devices with the Apple 32 GB filled so easily and naturally, even on the iPhone/iPod...

my question is slightly different: take now or wait for the second version of the iPad, announced at ferval 2011...

I like the iPad, but the iPhone can replace the console. Reading books — definitely for.
Plus watching movies, web sites.
If you plan to use the house, then 3G is not needed, there is WiFi.
Well, the gigabytes, the more the better.

iPad bought. Happy. Reader gathering dust on the shelf. 3G are always on the go and travel frequently write articles for the website on the iPad. the Gadget is not so heavy as say, constantly in the subway are reading, hold one hand, is used to ground for a day, maybe two. Charge every four to five days.

there are iPad and kindle in the family. On iPad annoying the rendering of small fonts, mainly on web pages. Obviously low screen resolution.
For reading books the best fit eReader, if an important criterion is autonomy.

I would take the iPad for kids because of the animated books. I just don't know whether there are similar in Russian.

The answer to Your question — based on Your needs. iPad is a device for "consumption" of media content. It's incredibly long work without recharging. Has a large screen. For photos and videos — probably the best solution. For games — it is possible, given its incredible lightness, but a pretty big screen.
In this case take it completely.
