A lot recently on habré became questions concerning the impossibility of writing due to lack of karma. "How to write?", "Why can't I write an interesting article?", etc.
The idea of such restrictions more likely correct than not. But the cancellation of the personal blogs and the inclusion of a minimum threshold of 5 units of karma, in fact, killed most of the capabilities of writing good articles and influx of new authors.
I have in profile 2 of the article: transfer, which gathered 42 plus and any plus sign in karma, and the article about his project, which have gathered 5 of the minuses and minuses about the same in karma. Perhaps the sample is not representative, but it still may describe a trend: the pros put only at personal request, and the cons just.
So this issue (and the topic create a poll I can't: ) I propose to share ideas on improving the mechanism of restrictions on writing posts.
Beginning with my proposal: there should be a special blog in which people can publish a post with any karma, even negative. It can be called whatever you like, "Personal blogs" for example. The articles in this blog can't go on the main page, but when you set a certain number of advantages to the article, the author can move it to blog. This sandbox is only for already registered users.
