Though the title sounds trivial, but...

I have a netbook, it was win7. before installing ubuntu 10.10 changed the size of the C drive using acronis disk director. Ubuntu is up, added Windows to grub, but she doesn't want to run.

Found options to restore the bootloader of Windows, but they require either the implementation of windowas program bootrec or the presence of the installation disk that is currently difficult, because the external sidyuka no.

What can you recommend in this situation?

The situation is complicated by the fact that advise of a person remotely. Think about bootable flash drive with the image of seven. This is the only option?

Or acronis could break the system partition?

Do not have a bootable image on the flash drive as izvestno, you can just copy the contents of the installation disk Windows installation to the root of the stick/HDD, saprosites with her and start recovery console (after selecting language). In win7 recovery console is a complete command-line version (I think, sorry if mistaken), with some extra utilities. That's where it will be the most bootrec.
In your situation, you need to type bootrec /fixmbr to restore the booth and record Windows. If that does not help, try the bootrec /fixboot, but then it will overwrite grub.

To boot from the installation disk (flash drive) and choose "system Restore"
Open the console and enter: bootsect /nt60 C: /mbr
Reboot.

if you only need the ability to restore without installation, you can delete it using UltraISO, etc., wim file system from the image.

Hold down F9 at startup netbook — it probably opens the "hidden" section on the screw pre-load system :) from there and you can recover.
