I liked the camera chicony panda. Work with the native uvc driver with support for larger resolutions.
Not sure how it works with other cameras, but I more hours the store was sad and looked at the fact that almost all of them, or required the driver to interpolate, or did not have on the box no information about the real performance characteristics.
My Chicony Panda DC-7120 honestly gives 1280x1024, but is the model even with 1600x1200.
In General, it supports 160x120, 176x144, 320x240, 352x288, 640x480, 1280x1024.
