Hi all.

There is a computer running FreeBSD 8.

There is a need on the same computer to run Windows Server 2008 as a virtual machine (and preferably more than one). :)

The computer supports AMD-V.

What free virtualization system better to use for maximum performance and easy administration with FreeBSD as the host system?

qemu, virtualbox, something else?

Another option could be the host machine with OpenSolaris or something like that, but the policy of the Oracle does not inspire confidence in the fate of their developments. :(

FreeBSD jails are well done, but Xen is the problem, and KVM work is not expected. Better use Linux with Xen/KVM, for example RHEL6 with KVM.

FreeBSD, unfortunately, is not well suited to virtualization — in fact, only itself in jalah. If very much want — it's probably still worth VirtualBox to use.

and you have no choice — VirtualBox. The rest is buggy or does not run Windows.

Why Fraja and not Debian, if not a secret? From abstract considerations, or due to actual needs?
