Tell me, who normally works as launched?

Partition Ext4, when you try to run the new system (that you just created from scratch) first starts sure with image CD and then stops and does nothing... How to win? The answer on the Internet until I found...

Ubuntu 10.10 i386, kernel generic PAE (though with the usual generic not working).

PS: with KVM the same shit.

Don't know how free but not free works quite well, 10.10, ext4. Tried to check the system itself and loaded with different images

Free (OSE) does not work with Guest Additions. Put the version from the manufacturer's website. It is also free. Just proprietary.

Write more details, what exact version of VirtualBox, the kernel version in the guest and on host, edition server/desktop architecture?
Recently put on one computer VirtualBox 4 (GUI) + Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop amd64 and VirtualBox (Headless) 3.6 + Ubuntu 10.10 Server amd64. Everything was fine, except for the two cursors in the window. On a server without x rabatel via VRDP. After ustanvoki Guest Additions OK now. What is the amount of RAM allocated to the guest? I had a problem with the Unity installer, it is in the config file more than 4 gigs flew with the installation.

From this glitch helped me tick the "Enable PAE/NX" in the CPU settings of the virtual machine. Not sure that will help you, but you can try.
