PHPStorm — how to make it use more resources?

PHPStorm 1.0 (Ubuntu 10.04) I'm sometimes freezes for a few seconds — the cursor blinks, the text entered does not appear. After two or three hours begins to fail: pressing Enter does not translate a string that does not give autocompletion for classes, which are normally issued at the beginning of his work. Helps restart. But get on your nerves...
The impression is that he lacks resources. But almost a gig of memory free and CPU in htop it at 10-11 place at incomplete loading of the processor.
Is there any way to force it to take more resources and run faster?

I had a similar problem with ReSharper, 2GB free was .5 and the constant brake, put him 2, now free about 2 constantly, and I still (though less). The CPU is also never 100% loaded. Tried to write, as I understand — well-known bug, the answer did not wait.
