Have a laptop(Ubuntu + Windows 7), desktop(Windows 7) + wifi whistle from D-link.
On desktope created Wi-Fi Ad-Hoc network. Internet snooping on the Wi-Fi interface.
Under Windows, the laptop connects fine, Internet rummaged everything works approx.
Actually, the problem is that when connecting from Ubuntu to the network, periodically loses connection with the Internet (cliffs with a frequency of 2-3min.)
At the time of the open Ubuntu network manager shows that the connection is active, but ping is not. And in Windows 7 shows that there is podklyuchenii computers. Takes a couple of minutes and in 7-ke shows that there is a connection, and at this point in Ubuntu everything works. Again a couple of minutes and disconnect. And so constantly. I tried to remove network-manager gnome and put wicd — didn't help. wicd does not want to connect comes to obtaining IP, so hanging a few moments and falls off.
