97% uptime on VPS/OpenVZ with no SLA. Is this normal or time to change hosting provider?

Recently changed hosting provider, had shared hosting, moved on to a VPS 1gb.ru.

According to internal monitoring, two months turns out uptime of about 97%, despite the fact that nagios drop less than 5 minutes does not consider, but they come. It will fall off the MySQL server, it destroyed the file system, even something like a missing connection with the DC.

Tell me, is this the normal rate for a VPS on OpenVZ or problem specific to the hosting provider?

How strange you think uptime. If mysql was dropped, then you need to figure out why it crashes you have, the VPS works. what do you mean crashing FS? openvz generally have a FS as such, no. but the lack of communication in DC is the downtime already and this is worth thinking.

I have fastvps.ru slightly more than 99 percent. So it is necessary to change.

Well, if all the time and not one month was just a bad match — probably should change.

On my home server to OpenVZ-containers Optim more than 99%.
So Yes, it's time to change.

Actually, IMHO, the easiest time in a month — already an occasion to reflect, and it's already 99.86% uptime.

Usually the uptime is calculated for all year round. So, uptime 97% is:
365 * 0.03 = 10.95 days

\r
It's almost 11 days of downtime per year. Yes, a lot. Change hosting provider if there is no compensation.

falls if your a dev, you still need to optimize, and if a piece of iron, which turns your machine or a network data center where you placed the piece of iron lies so often, then change hoster. can offer You our VPS, we have no such problems happen in practice.
