Is it possible to programmatically expand the browser to full screen as it appears when you press F11?

Need to do on the website the link "Fullscreen".

You have already given a lot of tips that you do not fit, therefore, venture to give one more: Make the application in flash.

In a standard way, i.e. using createEvent & initKeyEvent & dispatchEvent can be done. This code is not valid, although the event is dispatched and caught defalte action does not terminate.
\r
document.addEventListener("keyup", function (e) {console.log(e)}, true); var evt = document.createEvent("KeyboardEvent"); evt.initKeyEvent( "keyup", // in DOMString typeArg, true, // in boolean canBubbleArg, false, // in boolean cancelableArg, null, // in nsIDOMAbstractView viewArg false, // in boolean ctrlKeyArg, false, // in boolean altKeyArg, false, // in boolean shiftKeyArg, false, // in boolean metaKeyArg, 122, // in unsigned long keyCodeArg - 122 F11 key code, 0); // in unsigned long charCodeArg; var canceled = !document.body.dispatchEvent(evt); if (canceled) { // A handler called preventDefault alert("canceled"); } else { // None of the handlers called preventDefault alert("not canceled"); }

I think many programmers would like fullscreen button for HTML content. For example YoutTube HTML5 can not go to full screen, I don't think they're stupid engine and are unable to make a full screen (can only 100%X100% of the page), there may have been some reason.
If you really really need, then dig the other way: look for solutions in Java, wrote that possible to do in Silverlight.
PS F11 only works under windows, mac — ctrl+cmd+f or cmd+f

1. To make a button with the text "Fullscreen mode".
2. When you press on it with your mouse to display the prompt "press F11".

Met only for IE, that's sort of a "decent" example... bitbybit.ru/solution/109/
