Portiou one PHP application for RoR. At first I wanted to rewrite everything from scratch, but require to introduce new features as soon as possible. Decided to do so: looking for php scripts for new features, rewrite them under the rails (working with database), implement. Spinning rails under nginx+passenger. The task of address translation from the space of php (*.php?*) in RoR REST. I see two options:
— internal rewrite from php to ror have already ported scripts
— to determine the location with the passenger on _enabled already ported scripts and rewrite the query in a ruby application (e.g. middleware).

What would you do?

There is no need for the crutches to push in a code. But at the level of nginx configuration, it is tolerable. But it is not clear why internal rewrite, not a normal full 301 redirect?
