To install MySQL there is a convenient script initiated by a single command in bash <(curl-Ls http://git.io/eUx7rg). But first it is necessary to remove already installed version: instructions.
The script on Github, source.

If you go into Console (Applications -> Utilities), it is clear that this thing is looking and not finding some file (I do not remember, long ago rearranged one last time). Driving errors from Console in Google finds a solution to a problem, in the config you need to improve the way in which the maintainers pointed out wrong.

Suggest:
1. To put Windows instead of macos. 2. To put MSSQL instead of mysql. 3. To use MS SQL Server Management Studio instead of phpmyadmin.

My comment may seem out of place and generally holigarna-trolling, but there is one thing.
Well, how could it be that the mysql distribution in the marked for macos does not arise in default conditions? How? They didn't check it? Gee.
\r
And they haven't checked? Of what is not immediately visible? Mmm?
And then to trust them to store even garbage data?
\r
Start already to appreciate their time.

Faced with the same problem. The decision took a while but here it is. As already mentioned above the fact is that in the config incorrectly spelled way, plus there is a problem with access rights.
