How to learn to use Vim?

Hello!

There is a desire to master Vim.
Throw, please, tutorials, and articles for the initial setup and use.
Resources that may be of interest.
Or any information that will reduce the amount of suffering in the initial phase of the review.

For example, how not to spit and blow it to hell after 20 minutes?

Thank you!

My attitude changed to vim screencasts Derek Wyatt'a. vimeo.com/6999927 Here's the intro, for example.

first, install *nix, at least in a virtual machine. I assure you, nice you will NEVER have the desire to carry vim :)

1. Start vimtotutor and play in it.
2. There are screencasts about VIM in General: vimcasts.org/. Interesting enough, there is something to see
3. Watch a comprehensive screencast on the topic of vim settings for your favorite language / framework. For example, my post (with screencasts from Akita) about VIM + Ruby On Rails. Many of the pieces there will fit to any language, not only ruby.

Here for a start:
\rru.wikibooks.org/wiki/Vim
Just put everything that was described and you will have a General idea of Vim, you will know the basis.
