Work on XP under normal, podminkou uchetku. When you need something to install, take yourself to the Administrators group. So less crap with labels and rights on the folder. To do this, start from mmc using runas for admin accounts. But, in order that the rights have changed, you have to login in the system.

Is there any way to apply change "on the fly", without penelopedevine?

Have you tried to run the installed application from the user name administrator ("Run as" in context menu)?

You can still run cmd using run as with administrator rights, and then put out the process explorer current user, and then in the "admin" console run "start explorer", so to get the same effect as when penelopedevine.

This is a little something. To run the application as Administrator no problem. But some programs manage to create labels only in the personal folder of Administrator (in the Start menu and on your desktop) and for some reason don't do this for All users. That's why I try to use this kind of method of elevating privileges only at the time of any change.

I usually run some sort of file Manager from admin.
Suitable even for the Manager who goes with 7zip
