Posovetuyte books on design. Until I read C. McConnell "code complete" — you feel a little... More interested in designing in the field of web programming, but in General will not refuse more abstracty and is not tied to technology tips.

Head first Design Patterns I really liked. Sometimes I look down to test the knowledge of templates

Successful design is possible with the 3 main conditions:
1. Knowledge of UML
2. Knowledge of Patterns (design and software)
3. Possession of special design tools.
Listed in order of development.
Very good, in my opinion, on this subject can be considered to be a book Terry Quatrani and Jim Palistrant "Visual modeling with IBM Rational Software Architect and UML".

I want to add that personally helped me (that is, remembered):
\r
— Fowler, Scott, UML. The basics.
\r
— Nilsson. The use of DDD and design patterns.

In addition to the design patterns will go well Eric Allen "the Typical design errors".

About patterns is there a website www.dofactory.com/, they also have a book on patterns. The examples so it is not always podobrany well, but in General, all described in fairly simple language, and if the Gang of Four hard, you can try to deal with this book.
