Welcome.
Inherited a MySQL database with photos that lie in the column of type VARBINARY. Can anyone tell me whether their right to convert to base64 and then inserted into the img tag. Tried using base64_encode but it didn't help. Might need some kind of conversion?

Judging by the fact that at the beginning of the signature is FF D8 FF E0 is a JPEG picture. Only now its, well, very unusual, well, it's so weird Binary Editor shows data. What the data in the column in "raw" form?

All the conversion is in the code that writes the photo to the database.

Did not try "chastity" VARBINARY -> CHAR-level base?

SELECT CAST(binaryColumn as CHAR) from table_name
