Often you want to add a page, simple scripts — hide/show button, change class and so on.
Look for solutions online and mindlessly paste other people's incomprehensible scripts tired. Learning JS from scratch and according to Cantor for web whistles, too, as it is not rational.

Here I think to find some kind of guide, to study for a couple of nights, to understand the logic and finally to write the scripts yourself. Only interested in a simple interaction with the page elements.

Can learn jQuery for this purpose?

UPD
For sarcastic fellow I will explain with an example.

One thing to know classic English, speak it, write, read.
More the - know "tourist" English, ask for directions, order food, ask how it's going.

Here is the "tourist" programming I was interested in and nothing more. Is it in any way?

It is not possible to learn JQuery without learning JS. It even sounds kind of strange. In fact, to write the scripts yourself, there is little to learn JS or Jquery. For this we need to learn to read other people's. And for this we need to understand how it works. Otherwise you are doomed to waste nerves and exclamations from the series: "Yes!", "Why does it work?", etc. Personally, I started of course with JQuery, so I thought it easier and more affordable, but in the end, I realized that there are many solutions to JS which even look logical. So there is a thorny path of trial and error. If you want to write scripts, you have to become a programmer, at least a little bit.

Jquery is javascript. If you want to write code and get it to the javascript. If you don't want to understand anything that jquery. But I don't see how you can learn jquery without any knowledge of javascript.
