If you take an old Mac to 15 years, there really is a noticeable difference when upgrading to an SSD
I have a MacBook Pro 2012. Installed a Samsung SSD 64 GB (system) + in place of the drive is HDD (large files). Tangible difference.
Buy from Samsung or Intel. They have the type of controller is ideal for MAC that will allow the maximum speed to use.
PS If you have already installed the SSD, it makes no sense to change it for another.... especially will not notice the difference
