Newly purchased Acer Aspire One 751h was installed in Windows XP Home Edititon. The key on the bottom was different from that which was actually used in the system. A request was made to the support Acer. Was the answer:

\rGood afternoon.
\r
It — features a pre-installed OEM systems.
On our laptops (and not only our, and any manufacturer whose computers come with a preinstalled system)
when the output of their factory is preinstallyatsiya system, the so-called "factory Preload".
This Preload assumes a specific model number linked to the "hardware" of the computer
i.e., this system will not be activated on not ACER-native computer (or even on ACER-ovskom, but a different model number).
By the way, this allows you to install an already activated system.
The plant on the hard drives of a specific model series the "filled" one and the same system image (i.e., with the same key !),
and the stickers are pasted with different keys.
It is therefore not surprising that the product key that You see in Windows does not match with the key written on the COA sticker of the laptop.
All this agreed with Microsoft and glued stickers (with different keys) is only a confirmation that the computer is installed
genuine licensed Windows.

Sincerely,
