There is a certain abstract device "lights\\buttons c USB tail" and defined as the HID.

Watching the oscilloscope activity while pressing buttons, I believe that this device sends a report.

The question is, what would I want this device to explore, maybe have a program which, or in Linux it is possible to get data from HID device to flow in a file / console?

As can be seen from the wording of my question, I'm not strong in the subject, just before Smoking mana for HIDам, I would like to make sure that the device transmits is really what I need, and not some kind of a status like battery...

if is defined as HID and running x:, you can try to look at keycodes with xev, and then you can rebind them to any combination of keys.

It may be wise to build a kernel with debugging enabled for hid devices and view the logs?
