Due to what they are cheaper than the official website?

The official website sells Microsoft "Office at a fixed price, and other stores the price for the "Office" below and, it turns out, to earn the store to buy "the Office", then do mark-up and sell. => They buy the Office Microsoft is even cheaper than the price tag on their website (on the website other stores), but what's the point for Microsoft to sell an "Office" is cheaper than on your site?

Do you seriously believe, what shops to buy at regular retail price, and then resell at a premium? It's only small (very small) shopkeepers do.

In normal stores special price - wholesale. No, you will not sell this - I will be needing to buy in order to get this price.

It's normal policy at all, not only in MS.
The manufacturer does not makes sense to reduce the price on your website - otherwise the product will disappear from the regular retail stores (the same stores would not be profitable).
And buyers gradually forget about it, and manufacturer will be pushed out by competitors.

Their share MS always gets around. Well, slightly less than direct sales. But from many shops. So - how much would they directly would never be able to sell.

PS:
Wholesale price for software products is in 2 times lower (don't know how MS specifically, but the larger firm, a program which I sold - giving intermediaries 2 times cheaper; and required - strongly - to sell retail no less than 2 times more expensive than the wholesale price at which the program was given to intermediaries).

And it's not just the programs.
Faced with this and with "physical" goods.

What's the point of merchants sell goods cheaper wholesale customers than retail?

To sell a product is not easy and not cheap - a lot of spending on advertising, making purchases, the salary to sellers.
If the buyer takes out a very large consignment of goods - the seller saves a lot of money, which he would have had to spend on the implementation of this consignment, so ready to give a small discount.

For example, the program 1C which on their website is 20 thousand, for a partner is 10K, so you can buy it from a friend of partner for 11tys, although this is not encouraged and recommended to sell it for 20 thousand. But all do not care for recommendations.
