What courses / books worth paying attention to (the free)?
There is a need to pull a man to use computers so that he would not have addressed every issue with me.
Recent example: the manual says, save the file in Notepad named test.bat, as we know, Windows by default hides extensions, the result is test.bat.txt and stuff like that. ie the Basics.
I am willing to help, but I understand that it can't cover, about I forget something, in this case, if the student knows the principles, he won't even know what to Google.
Ran across courses "computer for beginners", etc. but the meaning of the training axely and ward do not see, and more deeply, there's nothing revealed.

You should pay attention that the books are not free. If You don't want to steal of course.

There is a need to pull a man to use computers so that he would not have addressed every issue with me.

The computer usage thing is very vague. I think it is necessary to hammer into a search template, "{name of operating system} for dummies"

and stuff like that. ie the Basics.

It's not the foundations, so VIN and hides file extensions, as it does not need a standard user. Obviously not full manual, so user does not need to know such details.

but the meaning of the training axely and ward do not see

then maybe all the same outline the task to be faced by Your user? I can't even imagine what You have in mind? Copying files or command line?

Use .bat files, and especially their writing is not basics, this is advanced user.
So of course that can cover everything that will be useful to the advanced user does not exist.

Too many points, nuances...
Teach him to start googling.

Books from the series "Windows for dummies" (if Windows) or "Linux for dummies" (if there is Linux)

I would in your place still he made the list and was just thinking of things that might be in your employee.
books, courses and so on still does not cover all the necessary material
- Volume of books or of course can be very great and does not guarantee that people will remember and be able to apply all the material. Could you? Imagine some course in the use of all types of electric and radio engineering) After all, is only to use, not programming, not soldering, and not to do schematic))

Something like that... IMHO. So be patient and if you don't want to say goodbye - invest a little time or prompt without the crazies aiming for Google. And maybe get used to it.
