So, I decided to make 3d modeling a hobby, but I do not even know where to start. I remember in school(I'm still in school) we worked on the computers and doing 2d drawings of different parts, as well as 3d bit. All this seemed very interesting to me. Well, now I roughly understand the types of 3d modeling and, as I understand it, the creation of 3d models of parts(gears it all, machine details, mechanism a) refers to CAD(I may not understand it all, then tell us what's what). All I got is a video showing how to build this or that detail, but I would like to start, so to speak, from scratch, to study the theory a bit to roughly imagine what it is(strongly not go deep want). I would also like you to advise me what program to run. I understand to use a Compass for this purpose is not a good idea. And SolidWorks for a beginner approach? Advise, please, sites, channels theory in 3d modeling.
What I want to know:
- create 3d models of different parts, simple and complex
- a bit of theory, the basics of 3d modeling
