On a wheelbarrow with win7x64 Internet goes through proxy. VirtualBox put Ubuntu. In the Ubuntu set up a proxy. In the network settings of the guest connection type NAT. When in Firefox on the guest Kubuntu you come in yelling do not see this proxy server. Say what you need the proxy IP and not ask his name online. And if I don't know the IP? Only the name

Try nslookup to sarasalai host name into an IP address.
(command line utility)

Or to put bridge instead of NAT.

If the connection type is NAT, whenever the guest OS goes to the network, then climbs it "under the" host OS.
About types of network adapters VirtualBox, you can read for example here.
So as written above, you need a type of adapter called "Network bridge". Or, try to remove all the proxy settings in the guest OS (but not the fact that will help).
