Good health, dear hepatically!

Actually roughly not later than days should I give for the gift of a computer with processor Atlon bought roughly eight years ago. Exact specifications of don't know yet but suspect that it will be something from the Atlon 1100+/256MB.
I want to put it to the parents, even in solitaire play, but sometimes on the Internet surf.
I do not want to put, because, because. (Well, what is not a reason). Think about Xubuntu or Lubuntu.
But here the question is whether the normal pull of this modern rarity distributions or should I look for something old?

Rather, the question should sound not "eight-year-old Athlone", and "256 MB memory". Memory for the gusset plate (i.e. for a normal start of the OS and more or less comfortable working in it) is more important than CPU (if not fullhd and the crisis is not to play :) ).

IMHO — 256 meters to start gnome and scarves should be enough, but the medium-run occupied memory volume applications (fayerfoks, OpenOffice, etc.) will lead to a large svarovani.

I flew on a Athlon 650 MHz / 128 Mb under Gentoo. Only compilati can be up to 2 weeks.
