Recently changed a steady, but relatively slow Internet ADSL for faster and cheaper Internet on twisted pair (though from the same ISP). To do this on all computers in the house Internet regularly given yourself an ADSL modem/router. Now trying to configure this old laptop with XP.

The Internet is connected via a standard "broadband connection that requires a user name and password". While the laptop is 3proxy http/socks, but I would like to get rid of the need to register the proxy address in the programs.

As I understand it, in the settings of the LAN connection on other computers you can specify a "default gateway". Tell me what to do on the laptop to put it the main gateway to all your other devices?

P. S. Thank you for your answers, problem solved.

P. P. S. take this opportunity what was the second question?

There, on the laptop using PuTTY configured the ssh tunnel on the States and the socks server, which is there when needed the rest of the computers sends.

Want a way to quickly switch to the normal Internet/shtatovskih on the iPhone. It is possible to register a proxy in the wifi settings, but every time I sit and write by hand — uncomfortable.

Quick way, for example, switch VPN. In fact, a VPN connection with the laptop, the iPhone sets the computer has an incoming connection and if the connection is written about 1 connected client.

Is there a way to make it VPN connection to take the Internet from the socks servers from PuTTY and give the iPhone? Or can I install there any other VPN server that can do that?

On a computer with an Internet control Panel\etwork connections, right-clicking on the adapter from which you have staff, Properties, sharing tab, then tick "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet", OK.

On other computers: control Panel\etwork connections, right-clicking on the adapter from which you have staff, Properties, networking tab, choose Internet Protocol TCP/Ipv4 Properties button, Policity an IP address automatically, OK.

In my opinion to use a laptop as a router to use — not the most kosher solution. A simple router(like DIR-320) is in the 50-55$...
