Colleagues, help, please, on the next question.

Got a netbook Acer Aspire One 531h, with the native WinXP. On hard there is a hidden recovery partition.

Put Kubuntu, respectively, by the boot loader was GRUB. But now there is a need to return everything as was, ie, Linux to carry, and the loader to return to their Acer'ovsky — to be able to ALT+F12 to boot to the recovery partition.

Before installing Kubuntu created a backup of the MBR with MBRWizard utilities.

So here's what you need to do to undo it?

If the multiboot Kubuntu is posed as a variant to leave it as is.
Let the father-in-law try.
You may like it.
Or strained with the hard drive?
You can also default to boot into windows®.
And if you still want to remove it from a live cd.
At boot enter the recovery console and run fixmbr.
Perhaps there will be nothing to boot, then the recovery console, you can go to <any> installation disc of windows®.
But the first option is easier.

neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 — ostanovi boot Windows by default.
Through the "computer management" delete the section with Ubuntu and expand Windows.
A section with information for recovery IMHO not recover. need and back it up to do.

Loaded with the windows xp CD, the proposal to start the recovery console press "R". Next, the console prompts you to choose the Windows folder. Run bootcfg /rebuild

And I have a somewhat opposite question. Want to remove Win XP and install Win 7. Of course, that after you install the sevens will overwrite GRUB. Is it possible after installing the GRUB wends back to the place with the Live CD Ubuntu?

Load up in Windows. Delete section Ubuntu. Execute fixmbr, then fixboot.
