Good day to all! I was once at the conference, system administrators, and it showed wonderful product "StorageCraft ShadowProtect". That is able to do:
— "on the go" makes the image of the disk\\partition
— server and client side (server sheduler and there are all sorts of settings)
— miracle of the algorithms which allow to do partial backups (to save space for example)
— a number of designs which allow you to deploy an image directly in a virtual machine (for smaller downtime)
— well, there was...

It works only on Windows, all sharpened according to the type Next\ext\ext\\OK\\Finish that is easy to install, administer, etc.
I was interested in, but is not small money, and with my gentoo and freeBSD is not running.

Who knows the rich world of open source, is there something? There are all sorts of new path and incremental not very interesting, but the live image and single point of administration — good thing. And can for Windows machines something?

Interesting piece for backups and virtuallock, at a very reasonable price. It is possible to think less about saving space and more about good :-) bitblaze.ru
