If you add the option vga=0x318 to the kernel boot, it stops working, the command xstart, writes an error:

[root@node0 ~]# startx
xauth: creating new authority file /root/.serverauth.4559

If you remove vga=0x318 from the menu.lst, then xstart is loaded, but it is low resolution.

How to make a console with vga=0x318 and xstart worked in 1024x768?
