Hello!
A week I suffer with finding and installing the PCI Board extender COM ports (MosChip Netmos MSC9845 from). On Windows XP everything worked successfully and the system saw all 6 RS232 ports.
However, after installing Windows 7 (64bit) a week are unable to install the driver. On the website of the manufacturer is MosChip version for Windows 7 (64bit). Downloaded it and tried to launch the installer. Launched successfully, he even at the end of setup, wrote that the driver was successfully delivered. However, in device Manager the picture of the former — PCI Serial Port in question in the category of the Other Device.
Tried a few options:
1. Install manually via device search on the computer — in the driver folder, nothing is found.
2. Trying to manually select the driver for the device ("Let me pick from a list of device drivers...") is in the list "Ports (COM & LPT)" option "MosChip Semiconductor Technology Ltd.". Choose to install, but after says that the error in the INF section of the driver.
3. Install using the native installer in the extracted folder as the driver gave nothing.
4. Put the driver for your motherboard — the last — nothing has changed.
Do you use something like that? Are there any ideas how to still make it work?
