Outsourcing vs. own hands

Friends, it is not a question, but a request to share the experience. I need to do a number of jobs that neither I nor my colleagues had ever done before. For example, it could be:
— finding and writing interesting topical content on the subject of the photos on the website
— making groups in contact
— writing competent sales latter
etc.
There are two alternatives.
1. To try to understand yourself / with colleagues, to fill their own cones, become an expert in this matter, and Cons is to spend a lot of time and possibly make it worse than others
2. Agree about outsourcing with specialists who do this. Cons — to spend more money and possibly get caught on the divorce, or poor quality work.
Clearly, this depends on the specific situation, but interested in your experience, how and in what cases makes.

I'd be first converted several times to different outsourcers and gradually delving into the matter, began to understand a little bit. Importantly, most of them fumble, ask questions, and ask all sorts of props is different. Well, when eventually a little cut, then it yourself you can try. Maybe even with someone thread koreanness and you will have a mentor who you can ask.

Then I think we should proceed from the desires of this craft to learn. So for example, if in the future I plan to do it, it makes sense to learn than to attract other people. Otherwise the answer is obvious.

Just pay attention to the fact of the issue price. Very rough, but it will look like so you need to buy someone else's time cheaper than its worth, that's all. If you succeed then again, the answer is obvious.

If you have already set themselves such a question, then just outsource. Otherwise I would do without hesitation.

Put on free-lance.ru ads, collect motivated artists with good reviews. Will be quite a decent result.

I liked the Council of Rework, first try to do everything yourself, when you realize that time really is not, and must do — to give to outsourcing. So you will get acquainted with the complexities of the subject area, you will understand what you need and not what you can do, well, the real value will appreciate.

1. To try to understand yourself does not mean to do worse than others (not rarely Vice versa)
2. To negotiate the outsourcing does not mean to spend more money, your time is also money, and even time colleagues (and subordinates) especially.

>>writing competent sales latter
If you imally in mind "sales letter", it is better to give to outsourcing.

I usually either do itself or had managed to change the goal to not do it at all. For example, recently I needed pictures for the blog (and I'm not an artist), has found it person to help, but then I thought more and changed the concept of the blog so that all images were either procedurally-generated or photos. They say even bad happened :-)
