Hello. Another broke player. It is suspected that due to the fact that for a long time was with a wallet where the magnetic latch. The player was subjected to physical injury.

How it all began: first, he abruptly hung, then demanded Windows reinstallation via ITunes. When you reinstall the player freezes and began to emit a grinding noise. Now it scans HDD Regenerator. 130 bad sectors on 36мб.

Player from America...

Has anyone encountered similar? Please advise what to do.

Still, as an option, there are adapters for them IDE -> SD. Bought the adapter + SD card.

To replace the HDD, obviously. You can just shove the SSD, it's much nicer getting.

iPod Classic has a few modifications. There is IDE ZIF interface 1.8" and a power supply 500mV. Something similar to the first HDD for MacBook Air, laptop only have a limit of 400mV. Otherwise will not start. Found external HDD from Transcend size 1.8" out of the box gets the drive and put in the iPod. Price — about 6000r. Here is a link to the model: goo.gl/PjRY8

Problem solved =)
As it turned out — despite the fact that the player was bought through Amazon — it is valid during the year of the so-called "World Apple", the rules of which — if the device is "white" and has not expired year warranty — any service center in any country is OBLIGED to carry out warranty service of the device(if it is certified by Apple, of course). So a friend passed the device and now, during the 30 days he will provide a new player.

I hope someone come in handy =) Thanks for the tips!
