Greetings, Habr.
Help, half I — use theme for Wordpress, it has a standard icon (the one that is called a favicon). Wanted to change the icon. Changed in the website directory last icon, the file name is not changed, the dimensions are the same, the format is the same.
But for some reason the website continues to display the old icon.

What I tried:
— clear the cache
— reload page Ctrl F5
— search throughout the code references to favicon files.ico

The website continued to display his.
There is a suspicion that it loads the icon with the network, maybe from the developer of the theme. How to find that link?
Thank you all in advance!

Open the URL of the icons and do a Ctrl+F5. Additionally try on other browsers.

favicon-the icon is cached in some special the bowels of the browser. The most reliable — not to replace an existing icon, and save it under a new name and path of the new file to specify the link element in the head section of the page.
