In google docs (in ff and google chrome) on the navigation screen according to the documents, if you increase the left panel by dragging the handle (the blue block between the control panel folders, and documents) more than half of the screen — can't restore the previous dimensions of the panels as default.

Yes, there is such glitch. The splitter collapses at a certain width of the columns.
To restore the visibility of the splitter you want to change the width of columns taking a separator between them.
