Storing large amount of files (Wi-Fi) at home?

Good day, dear!

Wondered with household on the subject of file storage.

Home features 3 devices with wi-fi (netbook and 2 laptops). For example, I watch a lot of TV shows and movies, which have nowhere to store and tired to burn to a disc. Dad, he loves music and movies, which also accumulated a lot. My mom and my sister are also fighting for space.

That respected Hebraist can advise in this situation?

I thought you can buy hard drive with a 2-4 TB and a box for him, but then thought unlikely to find something similar with wi-fi, then I thought about the installation of the kind of "home server", but don't really know anything about this (configuration, content).

I am grateful to all your ideas in this regard. Namely: is it possible to install just the disk with wi-fi, but if it's all nonsense, then please advise the configuration of the home server (if you can, then all that is needed: body, materinka, disk, memory and everything that is used in such situation).

Thanks in advance.

Simultaneous dual-band 2.4 and 5 GHz
Access to the hard disk via the Internet
Guest access to the disk and in the Internet

Well, the main + only for Macs.Backup.

I chose it because of the speed Wi-Fi.
If you have high speed Internet then it will pay attention to it.
Wi-Fi standard "g" is theoretically greater than 28 Mbps and rock will fail, but practically the average speed will be 15мегабит.

I speedtest as via Lan shows 80-85мегабит/s and Wi-Fi.

due to the lack of excess cash stayed Qumo Home Pro HP001 (about 5тыр in ozon.ru) has WiFi and a slot for one 3.5" hard.
If the funds do not restrict PTS — picked were DVICO HD M-6600, Mvix MvxiPVR or Apple Timecapsule
