Do now?

I remember almost all of the stick was with the record switch. Want one yourself, because you often have to stick it somewhere, and then clean from viruses.

Alternatively, you can format in NTFS and set permissions, but I cannot do that — you have to read and write not only from Windows.

Not long ago I bought a flash drive QUMO Yin&Yan. It is with such protection. Look, maybe now they still sell.

As an option that will work: take the SD card (there is a switch write-protect) and a simple little card reader.

I don't know about "is". But, it seems, there are programs that protect against write/delete. Recently came across a flash drive that could only be read under Windows and under Ubuntu.

And it seems like there is a program that allows you to programmatically change the controller in the flash drive — is it possible to write or not...
