Good.

Advise what video cable to use to connect the projector to the laptop.

The distance is about 10-11 feet.

There will be enough conventional shielded VGA or should I consider other options.

The projector is purchased "from scratch"

The screen is about 1.5 to 2.2, direct visibility is 5 metres.

It is better to consider a variant with an HDMI cable and a corresponding projector, unless one interface is on the laptop.

We have one projector with good expensive shielded cable (2500 rubles) in length 15 meters working, it's 800 by 600 only. Most importantly, even the frame rate to reduce the video settings to bandwidth reduce.

At resolutions of 1024x768, 800x600 high-quality VGA cable runs of up to 25-30 meters safely.
With DVI, HDMI 10 meters above the problems begin, although the cables are 20 meters :-).

Something like: www.kinosklad.ru/index.php?productID=1327?
Plus there are cables with double signal conversion, which at a very long distance stretch. We use sometimes, but I personally didn't pick up. I have seen the use of such cable for a few tens of meters.

In our Institute we use the Epson projector with Wi-Fi module. You need to install the driver, the projector is connected via Wi-Fi Ad-Hoc and it works fine.
